An hour north, the Ben Hai River once split the country in two. A DMZ day takes in the Vinh Moc tunnels, where a whole village lived underground for years, the Truong Son cemetery, and the hilltop base at Khe Sanh. It is a long, quiet day, and it lands harder with a guide who can explain what stood here.
